Day Four: A female character you relate to

Hermione Granger, Harry Potter series - Thank J.K. Rowling for the beautiful creation of this incredibly smart, tough and fabulous lady. Reading Hermione was like reading the best part of myself, another affirmation that women are wonderful in all their diverse personalities and gifts. Hermione is the reason why my brilliant daughter (when I have her, of course) won’t have to go through school having people tell her how smart she is for a girl. She brought the understanding that it is natural and awesome for girls to be smart, that cleverness has no gender, and that a woman’s intelligence is just one fascinating layer of her character.
